It’s January, the start of a new business year for many of us. We’re sure you’ve completed your business plans and financial forecasting for the year ahead, you know what you want to achieve and how you plan to get to that goal. Planning ahead gives you time to react and adapt, should any issues arise. Your IT on the other hand, requires more than just a small amount of planning, as a failure in your IT systems could have a huge impact on your business. Do you also have IT experts working within your business who would be able to react instantly should a system failure occur?
With IT being our speciality, we have a wealth of knowledge as this is what we do day in, day out. We keep abreast of recent update notes and ensure we have access to the latest software and hardware. For a small to medium size business there actually may not be enough demand on a daily basis to employ an IT expert, therefore making outsourcing a more cost-effective option. You may also find yourself relying on a more ‘tech savvy’ employee to solve any IT related problems, perhaps taking them away from their core role, this is time consuming and a waste of resources.

Interestingly a survey by YouGov in October 2019 found that 34% of British businesses outsource their IT support. A third of these businesses chose to do so because they get better results by outsourcing, another third made the choice because it’s cheaper and the final third found that outsourcing their IT support is more efficient.
